Upware leisure moorings are on the beautiful Cambridgeshire Lodes and are located within the village of upware.  Access by boat to these moorings is through Upware lock off the River Cam. The site is situated in a rural position between Ely and Cambridge and is surrounded by open countryside, with three Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) in the area. It has far reaching views across the local countryside thanks to its unique characteristic of being elevated above ground level.
